2010 FFM Dynasty League « Result #1 Yesterday at 11:31pm »
The new rules and scoring-position changes are final as of May 28, 2009.
2009 OFFICIAL Maniaxs Dynasty rules & settings.
• BUILDING YOUR TEAM
Number of active roster spots: 28. Number of Injured reserves: 2.
• YEARLY DRAFT: The yearly draft will occur in June with the exact day to be decided every year, after the NFL draft has taken place, and will feature NFL Rookies and fantasy players left unprotected (dropped) by team after each season ends.
DRAFT ORDER: To prevent players from throwing games at the end of the season the yearly draft order will be determined by how a team does in a three-week playoff from weeks 14-16. The playoff schedule will be detailed below.
This change in the draft order rules will become effective for the 2010 draft.
These post-inaugural season drafts picks will not snake starting in 2010.
The reason it was pushed off for a year is the addition of a couple of roster spots people will have to fill because the roster was expanded. In order for the draft to be fair to everyone, we will snake in 2009 and not snake 2010 and beyond.
• WAIVER WIRE Order, procedure and Injured Reserve:
The secondary way to improve your team, short & long term is thru the Waiver Wire.
Rules are pretty simple: just add & drop players position for position, (drop a RB, pick up a RB etc.) as long as your roster never exceeds 28 players.
The team that picks up a player will move to last after the claim to give every team a chance to improve.
Each team is allowed to place 2 players on Injured Reserve (IR) at a time. You may place a player on Injured reserve if they have been declared out for a game. You may then pick up a player to fill that active roster spot as long as it does not exceed the roster position limits listed below.
Once on IR the player may remain there as long as his NFL team declares the player OUT according to NFL’s official injury report.
Once you take a player off IR you must have a legal roster of 28 players and meet all position limit requirements. That is done by releasing that same player or another one of your choice.
If not done by the team owner, the commissioner will drop a player from that team’s illegal roster. Likely the player it was acquired to replace the IR player.
• TRADES: Trades are allowed year-round. A 48-Hour voting period will be in place for owners not involved in the trade to either approve it or protest it. Four (4) protest votes will automatically reject a trade.
If the parties involved feel that the proposed trade was unjustly vetoed, they may contact the acting commissioner for a case review after which a final decision will be made by the commissioner. Each owner will be notified of all trade decisions and/or results via email.
Trades can include future draft picks. During the offseason before a trade can be made by your team, you must make your roster mandatory roster cuts.
• ROSTER MANAGEMENT: Each season you can make any add/drops, trades, and Waiver Wire pick ups as you like and place a maximum of two (2) players on IR.
• KEEPERS: This being a Dynasty format, you get to keep most of the players on your roster from the previous season. Each owner will be required to drop a minimum of three (3) players after the end of each season. (Of course, you can drop your entire team if you wish.)
There is no maximum number of players you can drop, but you must drop a minimum of three as detailed below.
The more players you drop, the more new draft picks you get for the following draft.
These 3 players have to be 2 of the five top offensive scorers and the top IDP scorer from your roster for that year.
That is necessary in order to create a decent draft pool for the following year, (combined with the new NFL rookie class) and to keep owners interested in looking forward next season’s draft.
These 3 players don’t necessarily have to be the 1st and 2nd top scorers of your team. You can drop your 4th and 5th overall scores, if so you choose. (I'm sure you will!)
IMPORTANT: Each owner needs to announce his keepers a month before the draft’s scheduled date. The 2 IR players can be kept and will fill 2 ACTIVE roster spots for next year, where applicable.
Simply, you can keep ZERO or 25 players each year. When the new draft begins, each owner will stop drafting after he has reached the required 28 roster spots. So, a draft can technically last you from 3 to 28 rounds depending on the number of players dropped.
• LINEUP REQUIREMENTS: Starting lineup will consist of:
Drafting lineup positions: In order to prevent position cluttering, you can only draft a maximum number of players at each position and maintain them at that at ALL times.
Example: If you drop a RB, you must pick up another RB. You cannot drop a Kicker to pick up another RB. Add/drops and WW picks must essentially be done in the nature of position-for-position.
These extra offensive FLEX rules were instituted to create some position flexibility to help teams cover a weak point or to cope with bye weeks. We chose not to include RB because there are already 60 running backs on rosters.
We eliminated the second, previously required, K that you can fill with another OP except RB. Of course, you can fill it with that second kicker.
That does not include any replacement running backs that are picked up for IR running backs. Adding position flexibility to the RB position, we felt, would place a premium on gathering RBs that would be unhealthy for the league.
• SCORING SETTINGS: This will be a PPR (point per reception) league, where a predetermined amount of points will be awarded for each pass caught by any eligible player. (WRs, RBs and TEs).
QB-WR-RB-TE Scoring: 1 point for every 25 passing yards. 1 point for every 10 rushing yards. 1 point for every 10 receiving yards. 1 point for every reception. (PPR) 2 points for every passing 2PT. 2 points for every rushing 2PT. 2 points for every receiving 2PT. 6 points for every passing TD. 6 points for every rushing TD. 6 points for every receiving TD.
PENALTIES: QB-WR-RB-TE: -2 points for every INT thrown. -1 point for every lost fumble.
BONUSES: QB-WR-RB-TE: 3 points every 300 passing yards. 3 points for every 100-yard rushing or receiving. (Not combined)
KICKERS: (Based on length of FGs). 1 point for every PA made -2 points for every PA missed. 3 points every 0-39-yarder. 4 points every 40-49-yarder. 5 points every 50-59-yarder. -2 points every FG missed (0-39 yards). -1 pointd every FG missed (40 - 100 yards).
IDPs scoring settings: Forced Fumble: 2 points Fumble recovery: 2 points Interceptions: 5 points Tackles: 2 points Assisted tackle: 1 point Safety: 2 points Sack: 5 points Any defensive TD: 6 points (includes PR/KR for TD) Every 25 yards of PR/KR: 1 point
• DIVISIONS: 2 of 6 teams each randomly picked before the inaugural draft.
• Regular season schedule:
Because we are adding two additional playoff teams and six playoff teams do not lend well to a two week playoff format.
We have decided to shorten the regular season to 13 weeks instead of extending the season through week 17 of the regular season. We felt it with the number of fantasy studs that could be rested would be unfair since the playoffs determine draft order.
The regular season will consist of a total of 13 weeks. Regular season schedule will require each team to play a division opponent twice (Home & away) covering 10 total games with the remaining 3 weeks to be filled with NON-divisional opponents.
Since there are six non-divisional teams the teams you do not play this season you will play the following season. The teams each player will play will be determined once ESPN opens and we can set the schedule.
• Tie-Breakers: 1) Total points scored. 2) Head to head record. 3) Suggestions welcomed...
• PLAYOFFS: The winner from each division will make the playoffs along with 4 wildcard teams. The 4 wildcard teams can be from the same division as they will be the remaining 4 teams with the best overall record after the season.
Division winners will be seeded #1 & 2 based on best overall record and tie-breakers where apply.
The playoff schedule is as follows:
Week 1
Bye: Seed 1 and Seed 2 Game 1: Seed 3 vs Seed 6 Game 2: Seed 4 vs Seed 5
Week 2
Game 3: Seed 1 vs Winner Game 2 Game 4: Seed 2 vs Winner Game 3 Game 5: Loser Game 2 vs Loser Game 3

You've caught up to me the last three weeks. I'm 9-7, 9-7, and 10-6 while you're 12-4, 11-5, 11-5. That's a six game swing right there.
I checked out the new forum today; there's a lot of advertisements. I'll probably be hanging around there some now. I'd still like to have a mock draft on this board though.

OMG, I thought for sure you were blowing me away here. You know there's a new forum on the main site now. It would be great to see you over there as well.

Usually by this point in the fantasy season, I'm pretty burnt out on fantasy football, but this year I'm ready for more.
I'm considering a mock draft of the insanely early variety to be done on these boards. Some parameters would include standard scoring, 10 teams, and no time limit. This would begin after the Super Bowl, maybe earlier.
I realize this boards aren't frequented by many, so if there's three parties interested we'll each take on three teams, and flip a coin for the spare. If there's five we'll each take two.
