HI Gavin, Welcom to Fantasy Fottball Maniaxs. I dont know that you did anything really wrong here. you did well in starting your studs. n week one it is important to rely on them.

One thing that will help us help you is to let us know your scoring system. You do not have to post it all but if it is a TD only, yardage, or PPR (point per reception) league goes a long way as players have different value depending which scoring system is used.

For Example in TD only league Brndon Jacobs would be way more valuable than Kevin SMith. In yardage leagues they are similar and the matchup will detemine a lot. In PPR leagues Kevin Smith is more valuable.

Another thing that would help is to know how many teams are in your league. This will help us gage what the talent level of your league is.

The important thing here is do not do anyting rash from one week. You dont want to go dropping a lot of players because you had low points. You want to make calm decisions that you feel will improve your team.

Being 0-1 is not that bad if though the early part of the season you go .500 in win loss and then string together 3 or so wins at the end of the season you will most likely make the playoffs. That is all that really matters is making theplayoffs ince you are in anything can happen.

Hi,
Thanks for reply. Im pretty new to this, but our league has ten teams and uses a standard scoring system.

I like my team, just my receivers Im questioning. Any insight on my receivers situation? (starters Marshall and TO)
Also fred jackson is available, I believe you thought it would be a good move to drop galloway and pick him up. I was thinking if welker or moss gets hurt galloway may emerge? or I can get rid of a different WR

thanks again I appreciate it!

Gavin, I would go with Marshall whenever he is on the field until it is beyond doubt that the Denver O has completely collapsed. Forget the drama, you just don't sit that kind of talent.

Keep the faith - week 1 often comes out wacky. I love your depth and expect your studs will bounce back soon enough - like, this week!

A lot of it now lives on the Sunday morning chats at 11am hosted by yours truly. That and the fact we were in hiatus on this site during the offseason when working with the FantasyPros911.

I would go with Jackson and Slaton. I have faith Slaton will bounce back and was very unimpressed with Coffee last week. Not convinced he can give you Gore like numbers in relief.

Wondering your thoughts on these pickups off the WW.
1. Green Bay D (got a nice couple of weeks ahead). My other D is Baltimore, not crazy about being @ Minn. I'd drop Massaquoi in favor of this.
2. Hasselbeck (super hot last week, and up against the weak pass D Cards). I've also got Jay Cutler. Would drop David Garrard for Hasselbeck. (last week sucked!).

Are you in favor of either/both of these? and if both, which would you rank higher. There's a lock on pickups until tomorrow AM, but I could definitely get one of them (if not both).

Thanks!

I like Massaquoi long term - meaning next year. With the Packers past their bye week, I don't know that you need to carry a second DST for the rest of the season.

I would definitely rank Hasselbeck over Garrard going forward as your backup to Cutler. Good things happen for the Seahawks with him in the lineup and he also has better WRs to throw to.
